What we can learn from gunners
Recently I was privileged to accompany 16 Regiment Royal Artillery on a battlefield study trip to Anzio.
Anzio is a small Italian seaside town some 35 miles south of Rome where in January 1944, British & American forces made a daring amphibious landing and engaged the Germans in a bloody battle.

In corporate life there’s pretty much always a ‘head office’, an ‘HQ’, or a ‘central team’.
I have reported into one of those central teams as leader of a satellite operation – Controller Radio 1 contributing to the BBC’s Audio and Music centre and I’ve been in one of those central teams – the EMEA leadership group at Saatchi & Saatchi.
